BFE realizes the visualization of operation-relevant information within the new fire department operations center as well as the meeting and training rooms. For this purpose, all video and audio signals are connected to a central KVM matrix. An IP matrix with approx. 50 I/O's from our partner Guntermann & Drunck is used. In addition to the 4K large displays from Panasonic and SMART boards to be implemented in the control center and the situation room, digital signage monitors for alarm and information visualization will be installed throughout the building. In the flexibly divisible, multifunctional training rooms for up to 180 people, electronically controllable, active line source speakers from Fohhn are used. The high-performance loudspeakers provide two independent beams for targeted sound shaping using Fohhn Two Beam technology. For optimum speech clarity, the vertical beam width of the loudspeaker solution can be controlled in real time and adapted to the respective room situation. The audio signal is fed in DANTE format via a DSP solution from Symetrix.

The entire visualization solution is controlled by the KSC ControlRoom control system from BFE, which is installed in a virtualized VMware environment.

With its approximately 190 active volunteer firefighters, ten full-time employees and three administrative staff, the volunteer fire department of the city of Ingelheim am Rhein can be reached around the clock via the central emergency call number 112. In 2019, a total of 385 operations were carried out.
