LDI again relies on BFE with new framework agreement
The Landesbetrieb Daten und Information (LDI) is the central IT service provider of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
At the locations Mainz and Bad Ems, efficient IT solutions are developed on behalf of the state administrations.
The new framework agreement - concluded between BFE and the LDI - enables public institutions in the states of Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland to commission BFE without having to put the planned project out to tender throughout the EU. Once the budget has been approved, BFE can be commissioned via the LDI on the basis of a corresponding offer from BFE. The framework agreement allows for simple and prompt commissioning, uniform project structures and processing, short execution times and efficient management. The concrete project planning is bundled and executed by the Police Headquarters Operation, Logistics and Technology in Mainz.
The LDI benefits in particular from BFE's extensive portfolio of control centres. In addition to the control and management system KSC ControlRoom for control centres, operating panels, mechanical constructions for monitor walls as well as control centre tables and other special furniture are manufactured at BFE’s Mainz headquarters.
"The conclusion of the framework agreement shows that our high-quality standards are paying off. In 2015, we had equipped the command and situation control center at the Mainz police headquarters with a new video and visualization system. In the meantime, the entire emergency call and response system in the greater Mainz area, Bad Kreuznach and Worms runs centrally via the Mainz command and situation centre. Following the successful pilot project, this system is to be extended to other presidencies in the country. We are pleased to be able to contribute our experience to the process of modernising the command and situation centres in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland," says Markus Greiter, Managing Director of BFE.
