n addition to the two main broadcasting centres in Berlin and Potsdam, rbb also maintains studios in Cottbus and Frankfurt (Oder) as well as regional offices in Perleberg and Prenzlau.

rbb has commissioned BFE to renew the existing television production galleries in Frankfurt (Oder) and Cottbus. As part of the project, the video infrastructure in Cottbus and the complete audio and video infrastructure in Frankfurt (Oder) will be renewed. At the same time, a new "one-button" operating concept for the "Breaking News" section in the studio area will be implemented, enabling the activation of predefined studio setups. This is decisively supported by the intuitively operable user interface of BFE's proven broadcast control system KSC CORE.

At the Frankfurt (Oder) location, two new self-propelled production galleries, a production studio and various editorial workstations are also being implemented in the radio production department.

The technical basis of the project are extensions to the existing video routers from Grass Valley, new image mixers of the Tricaster type from Newtek and UHD cameras from Panasonic. Audio matrix and mixers are from DHD.
