After three years of intensive project work, RTS in Geneva has successfully transitioned its CDC (master control room) and CDD (playout) systems to an IP-based infrastructure. The challenge: a full-IP SMPTE 2110 system environment, integrating new workflows seamlessly. Our KSC solution serves as the central control element, enabling precise and flexible management of all signal flows.

One of the standout features widely appreciated by the RTS team is the Bouquet function: predefined command bundles that allow multiple devices and signal paths to be switched simultaneously. This significantly simplifies workflows and optimizes automated control processes.

Additionally, the GFXUnit has become an integral part of daily operations, offering fully customizable graphical interfaces tailored to individual operator needs—intuitive, clear, and designed for their specific setup. Excitingly, RTS has developed a group of superusers who are creatively leveraging the system for their unique requirements.
