VDMA contracts BFE for equipping its new building in Frankfurt with media technology
With around 3,300 members, the VDMA, founded in 1892, is the largest network organisation in the European mechanical engineering industry. The association represents the common economic, technical and scientific interests of its members.
The new building is currently being constructed in the direct vicinity of the existing VDMA building Lyoner Straße in Frankfurt/Main. The new building addresses the increased capacity requirements of the VDMA and enables important topics of the association's work to be reorganised spatially. The heart of the building will be a modern media technology installation that will provide optimum support for audiovisual communication in all areas of the building.
In the large conference hall 2 Full-HD LED video walls, each 3.7 meters wide and with a 1.5 mm pixel pitch from Unilumin will be used. Core elements of the smaller conference hall, the large training room and the 20 meeting rooms will be 4K displays from LG Electronics in the format 75 to 98 inches, partly with touch function. Due to the integration in high-quality wall consoles, the displays fit perfectly into the interior design of the new building. All wall consoles are designed and manufactured in the workshops of BFE according to the design specifications of the VDMA. The audio solution is created using front loudspeakers from Harmonic Design and loudspeakers from JBL. The microphones used as well as 2 electronically focusable ceiling microphone arrays are supplemented by a conference system for 63 participants from Shure. A Crestron media control system will be programmed by BFE in accordance with the requirements of the VDMA, so that all video, audio and room functions can be conveniently operated via a touch display. The meeting rooms will be equipped with a UC video conference smart sound bar and camera, also from Crestron. The technical solution is completed by digital audio signal processors from QSC as well as network components from Cisco and Xtreme. A centrally managed digital signage solution with a visitor guidance system, a room and resource booking system as well as digital door signs complete the innovative project.
"We are very proud that we were able to convince the VDMA of the technical expertise and performance of our company and look forward to working with the team at VDMA," reports Michael Krämer, Senior Sales Manager of BFE Studio und Medien Systeme GmbH.
