The Al Dawri & Al Kass sports channel, located in Doha (Qatar), reports mainly on national sporting events such as football along with the Asian Games, AFC Asian Cup, the Gulf Cup of Nations and more. New HD-based TV studios and production control rooms had to be planned and implemented to accompany the transfer of the broadcast production environment into new buildings.
Task:
BFE was tasked with the complete system integration as a general contractor. The project included planning and implementing three HD-based TV studios, each measuring 600 m2, plus control rooms. In addition to the technical equipment, the project also involved planning and installing all of the customer-specific consoles, technical furniture, equipment stands and other required materials.
Solution:
A central Miranda NVision router and a central Lawo audio router were installed as solutions for all three studios. The A/V signals are controlled using BFE's KSC Commander systems. Miranda Kaleido X Multiviewer is used to monitor the studios. All incorporated consoles, monitor stacks, equipment stands and technical furniture were specially designed for these studios by BFE. The scope of services also included comprehensive on-site consultation throughout the entire project. An in-depth six-week training course took place following the successful completion of the project.
